Onero Travel, founded in 2016 by Tendai Charwadza, invites you to explore the wonders of the Western Cape with us. Specializing in (half) day tours throughout South Africa’s Western Cape region, our mission is to make the beauty of the area accessible to everyone.
The name “Onero” holds a special meaning for us. It originated from the farm Tendai grew up, called “Uitzicht”. When we translate this from origin Afrikaans word to Tendai’s mother tongue Shona, we get “Onero” which means “View” in English, symbolizing our commitment to providing you with breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences.

Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Tendai has called South Africa home for over a decade. With a rich background in the hospitality industry, he transformed his passion for the Western Cape into a professional guiding venture. As a qualified tour guide from the inception of Onero Travel, Tendai is dedicated to ensuring your journey with us is filled with knowledge, warmth, and discovery.
Joining Onerotravel, Loes became our enthusiastic Tour Coordinator from the Netherlands. Her story with Onero began after a transformative visit to South Africa in early 2023. With a background in international environments, and expertise spanning Human Resources, Marketing & Communication, Customer Services, and Hospitality, Loes brings a diverse skill set to Onero. She customizes personal journeys, making sure your experience goes beyond expectations, prioritizing your joy and adding a hospitable touch to every part. Her enthusiasm for people, travel, and Southern Africa makes her a valuable asset to Onero.
